Keplerth Development Update: Focus on Major Enhancements
The developers of Keplerth have announced a temporary slowdown in updates and maintenance as they shift their focus towards several significant enhancements for the game. This includes the integration of a built-in MOD editor, a redesign of the crop farming system, and a comprehensive overhaul of the weaponry system. Players are encouraged to remain patient during this development phase, and the team appreciates their understanding.
In the latest update, a new feature has been introduced: the Shelter Tour Guide Flag, which allows players to lead surrounding dwellers for a limited time. Additionally, significant adjustments have been made to improve gameplay mechanics. The Mining Pickaxe has been reworked, enabling clearer visibility of mining ranges and supporting precision mining techniques. Other enhancements include improved item-selection mechanics in the Hotbar and the addition of damage prompts for Replica equipment.
The development team has also addressed a bug that prevented interactions with certain NPCs, ensuring a smoother gaming experience.
Looking ahead, the team is making progress on various development components, including the multiplayer system, achievement system, NPC quests, and a new guidance system, among others. Some features, like the gene editing system and the Steam Workshop mod support, are included but still undergoing improvements.
Future plans also include the introduction of NPC class differences, interactions with friendly NPCs, and a weather system, among other features currently in the planning stages.
The development team is committed to maintaining transparency and frequent updates as they continue to enhance Keplerth. They express gratitude for the community's ongoing support and enthusiasm.
