New Update Released for "Stranded: Alien Dawn" on Steam
A significant update for the simulation strategy game "Stranded: Alien Dawn" has been released on Steam, enhancing the gameplay experience based on player feedback since its launch. This patch focuses on stability, performance improvements, and various gameplay adjustments.
Key Improvements:
In the latest update, developers have made several adjustments to ensure smoother gameplay. Memory management has been optimized to reduce crashes during critical moments such as saving and loading games. Users can expect fewer graphical issues, particularly during the opening landing sequence of new games, and a fix for a rare freezing issue that occurred when the sun would disappear. Additionally, framerate stability has been improved, particularly for the Saltu environment.
Enhanced Survivor Functionality:
The update also introduces new capabilities for survivors within the game. Players can now have their characters climb carbon towers, and the scheduling system has been refined. Survivors with activities prioritized at levels one or two will no longer be hindered from engaging in essential actions like relaxing, eating, or sleeping when their schedules allow for flexibility. The Emergency Management (EM) umbrella will now activate immediately when equipped, even if rain has already begun. Furthermore, survivors will take outdoor temperatures into account, enabling them to venture outside during extreme weather if conditions are tolerable for them.
Gameplay Adjustments and Miscellaneous Fixes:
Additional modifications include a new option for production devices that allows players to change their operational area, ensuring that survivors assigned to different zones can still utilize them efficiently. The health bar for previously injured animals will now disappear over time, and the maximum temperature tolerance for the Dandelion Tree has been increased. There are also minor visual adjustments for various effects, along with a new option on the main menu for players to subscribe to the Frontier Newsletter.
This update reflects the developers' commitment to enhancing the player experience and addressing community feedback effectively. Players can now enjoy a more stable and engaging gameplay environment as they navigate the challenges of survival in "Stranded: Alien Dawn."
