Keplerth Development Update: Transition to Alpha Version and Community Communication Challenges

In a recent announcement, the development team behind Keplerth, an indie adventure RPG, has officially transitioned the game's status to Alpha. This change comes as a response to previous mislabeling, which the team acknowledges may have caused confusion among players.

The small development team, currently comprised of only three members, has faced challenges in maintaining consistent communication with the community. Due to staffing limitations, a friend of the team had been assisting in managing communications across platforms, including Steam and social media. Unfortunately, this support came to an abrupt end two weeks ago due to personal reasons, resulting in a temporary halt in community interactions. The team expressed their sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused and is actively seeking additional help to ensure better communication moving forward.

Despite these challenges, the developers are committed to the continuous improvement and development of Keplerth. They assure players that regular updates will serve as evidence of their dedication to the project.

The recent Alpha 13 update introduces several new features and adjustments to enhance gameplay, including:

  • A new underground boss, the Insector Queen, which players can summon for battle.
  • New accessories, armor, weapon crafting options, and a range of new enemy types.
  • Various gameplay adjustments aimed at improving overall player experience, such as better saving mechanics and reduced impact from certain attack types.
  • Numerous bug fixes, addressing issues related to pet interactions and combat effects.

The development roadmap outlines several ongoing and planned features, including friendly NPCs, a trading system, and additional content related to pets and mounts. While many aspects are in progress, others, such as the achievement system and event mechanics, are still in the planning stages.

The team is determined to maintain transparency and provide regular updates to the community, emphasizing their gratitude for the continued support from players. As they navigate these challenges, they remain focused on developing Keplerth into a compelling and engaging experience.
