Keplerth Development Update: Progress and Future Plans Announced

In a recent communication to the community, the development team behind the indie adventure RPG, Keplerth, provided an update on the game's ongoing progress and future features. The news comes after a brief hiatus due to health issues affecting one of the team members, who reported feeling under the weather after an intense work period.

As the team resumes work, they are focused on several key developments. The programming team is currently finalizing a built-in MOD editor, which is approximately 85% complete. A small-scale internal test is scheduled for March, with plans for a public test version to roll out in June. This editor will empower players to create, modify, and share their own content, enriching the game experience.

In addition to the MOD editor, the team is enhancing the weapon upgrade system. This new mechanism aims to make each weapon unique, allowing players to upgrade their favorite weapons throughout the game instead of replacing them with higher-level options. A jewelry synthesis system is also in the works, introducing fun, non-numeric jewelry that players can craft to enhance their gameplay.

Upcoming features include an "infinite dungeon" where players can earn rewards through battles, new storylines involving fresh ecological environments and factions, and five major bosses. A handbook and museum system will also be implemented to help players better understand and collect game content.

The development team has outlined their current progress on various systems, including multiplayer capabilities, achievement tracking, NPC quests, and more. While many systems are fully implemented, others are in various stages of improvement. Notably, the built-in MOD editor and the weapon upgrade system are among the key features currently being developed.
