Keplerth Development Update: Recent Fixes and Upcoming Features

In a recent communication from the developers of Keplerth, a popular indie adventure and simulation RPG, players can look forward to a series of bug fixes and exciting new features currently in development. The team remains committed to enhancing the gaming experience and has provided detailed insights into their progress.

On April 17, the developers addressed several critical bugs, including an issue that caused the game screen to become overly bright when multiple lighting objects were placed together. Additionally, they resolved a problem related to the Host gene module, which previously hindered the effectiveness of the Return effect.

Earlier updates on April 16 and April 14 focused on various gameplay improvements. Notably, a bug affecting the duration of food and drug effects in the Knowledge gene module was fixed. Other fixes included the Iron Man 3 gene module, successful saving of resurrection points, and adjustments to volume control in the main menu, along with some text description corrections.

The development team is also making substantial progress on several new features. The achievement system, equipment enhancement system, NPC quests, and a new guidance system have all been successfully integrated into the game. Players can also expect improvements in map navigation with the introduction of a mini-map system, alongside atmospheric enhancements through village decorative objects and additional background music. Notably, the pet level-up function is now included, adding depth to player interactions with their companions.

While some systems, such as the gene editing and discovery systems, are included but still undergoing enhancements, the team has indicated that a multiplayer system is in the works and currently undergoing internal testing. Future plans also encompass the introduction of a dungeon challenge, NPC class differences, and improved interactions with friendly NPCs.

Looking ahead, developers are planning several exciting features, including Meco Biotech III content, an events system, and new weather dynamics. There are also intentions to introduce more pet interactions, NPC recruitment, and a working system for NPCs. However, development on vehicles and water and fire systems has yet to commence.

The development team emphasizes their commitment to maintaining transparency and frequent updates, thanking the community for their ongoing support as they continue to enhance the Keplerth experience. Players can stay tuned for more updates as the game evolves.
